Soria Natural has an R&D&I (Research, Development and Innovation) centre
that pioneers national and European labs in the sector.

Collaboration with the Cancer Research Centre (CRC)

For years now Soria Natural has put a lot of hard work and dedication into developing an important line of basic research, consisting of finding vegetable compounds with anti-tumoral activity. The first phase of this research is carried out in the well-equipped, modern installations of the Soria Natural laboratory in Garray, Soria.
Once the research team finds some compounds that may be useful for this anti-tumoral activity, the compounds are taken to the Cancer Research Centre (CRC), where the studies presented by the Soria Natural researchers are continued in detail, thanks to the collaboration agreement that both institutions have held for over five years.
At the moment, we can confirm that there is a compound with significant anti-tumoral activity in an advanced stage of research, which was obtained after multiple tests carried out on a plant grown by Soria Natural.
In the attached video files you can see the response of the cells to the activity of this researched component. They are a group of tumour cells of the cervix, cultivated on a plate with photograms being taken every 10 minutes to observe the behaviour and evolution of the tumour cells without the treatment of the Soria Natural compound (Video 1) and with the treatment (Video 2).
Video 1: Culture of control tumour cells in which the cells split up, spread and grow, developing the disease with complete freedom.
Video 2. Culture of similar cells to which the treatment with the component developed by Soria Natural has been applied. The cells try to split up but the can not and in the end they die.
